I am not very familiar with the uniforms worn, unfortunately.
This unit had several names, if we are talking about the same one.

- Vaktbataljonen
- Vaktbataljon Norge
- SS Wachbatallion 6
- SS Wachbatallion Norwegen etc.

There should be some info on this forum. Many who enlisted, were volunteers who did not pass the SS check. Others were ex-frontfighters, while some were not NS-members at all. At least 360 Norwegians served here for some years, probably some more. 2 were sentenced to death after the war, but the sentence was changed.

The guards did serve in several prisoner camps, especially in North-Norway. Needless to say, not very popular amongst any.
Traing camp was at Holmestrand.

Checking the link at Dereks, I clearly see that this unit has nothing to do with Vaktbataljon Norge.
The Wachdienst Norwegen clearly was a part of the Heer, and consisted of Germans, not Norwegians.
